The island on three seas - Corfu is a fascinating place to be explored! With its undoubted beauty I had met in my childhood reading the books of Gerald Durrell and I yearned to spend at least one carefree summer in that amazing place. Decades later, standing on the top of the fortress over Corfu town, I remembered with a smile, the days when I was reading "The Garden of the Gods" and "My Family and Other Animals". Today I present a memento of that moment.

Some of the houses stick out more than the others which makes the city look a bit uneven to the eye - think it has something to do with the shades of colour to each house, but I know very little of how painting works. Was that how the view came across??
